Exploring the Holocaust
Created by
Holocaust Educational Trust
Exploring the Holocaust is a free, comprehensive and flexible cross-curricular online scheme of work which provides teachers with all of the materials they need to teach the Holocaust successfully.
The core of the scheme of work consists of 15 lessons designed for use in History, Religious Education or Philosophy, and Citizenship or PSHE.
Designed for use at Key Stage 3 in schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and at S2 in Scotland, its contents can be adapted for the teaching of older age groups and for teaching in a single subject.
Exploring the Holocaust is supported by a comprehensive teachers' guide as well as subject-specific guidance on incorporating English into the scheme of work.
Each lesson comes with a complete lesson plan and classroom materials which are freely downloadable from the Holocaust Educational Trust's website.
To access these teaching materials, you need to register on the website, but there is no charge.
