Africa - a continent of contrasts
Created by
This module highlights the huge variations within Africa, both in terms of human development and the natural environment. The module includes contrasting case studies of Sudan and Ghana. Material on Sudan considers the country's future after the civil war and the possibility of development through spending on public services. Ghana's economy is highlighted as successful, thanks to natural resources, but still somewhat reliant on international aid.
